WANTING A LITTLE MORE
AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF PHASE I,
A RESIDENT IS PROVIDED MORE INDEPENDENCE AND ROOM TO GROW AND SUCCEED.

RENT - The resident will pay a slightly higher submarket rate than Phase I for a one-bed efficiency apartment.

GOALS – The resident is diligently pursuing the goals they have personally established and review these goals weekly with their case manager.

PROGRAMS – Residents are encouraged to participate in group and individual meetings and psychological counseling. Phase II residents focus on transitional goals like credit repair and housing. Attendance at a minimum of two program meetings per week is mandatory.

COMPLETION OF PHASE II – A resident completes Phase II when they are prepared to independently live in the community. The Case Manager collaborates with the resident to execute their plan to transition out of Camp Haven.

JOURNEY TO INDEPENDENCE

AFTER SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING AN APPLICATION TO CAMP HAVEN, UNDERGOING AN INTERVIEW, A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK, DRUG TESTING AND A PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION, ACCEPTED CANDIDATES BEGIN PHASE I OF OUR PROGRAM.
RENT– The first 30 days are rent free, followed by a sub-market rate. This free period allows new residents to find employment and secure income prior to rent starting. Phase I rooms are double occupancy with a microwave and refrigerator.

FOOD– Dinner is provided five days a week (thanks to the generosity of local supporters).

CASE MANAGEMENT – At entry, a Case Manager reviews all policies and requirements of Camp Haven’s program with the resident. Each resident collaborates with a Case Manager to develop an individual plan, including monthly budgeting and financial review, employment schedule, credit score monitoring, program attendance requirements, outside treatment, if needed, setting goals and tracking progress.
PROGRAMS – These include psychological counseling, in group or individual sessions, and educational programs on topics including personal finance, interpersonal skills, and credit management. Residents recovering from substance abuse may be required to get additional treatment and counseling from third-party providers.
SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION – A resident successfully completes Phase I by adhering to program rules, maintaining employment, accumulating adequate savings for community-based housing, and being psychologically stable, as assessed by our psychologist. The staff collaborates with the resident to develop a transition plan out of Phase I.
